Subic Bay Development Investment Conference & Christmas Celebration


On November 28th, Sinosun successfully concluded the 5th Subic Bay Development Investment Conference (SDIC) and its early Christmas Celebration with about 180 foreign investors, including representatives of state owned enterprises and more than 100 local guests.

The honored guests who graced the occasion include the representative of Ambassador William Lima, the Philippines Special Envoy to China, Kenneth Rementilla, Deputy Administrator of SBMA Business Group who represented Atty. Wilma Eisma, Chairperson and Administrator of SBMA, Mayor Rolen Paulino, Mayor of Olongapo City, Marvin Ted Macapagal, Director of SBMA, Michael Ted Macapagal, Director of Clark Development Corporation and Congressman Edwin Uy.

The SDIC, conducted for the third time in Subic Bay is among a series of five successfully carried out this year, with one each held in Hong Kong and Tianjin, China. The conferences promote the Philippines as a premier investment destination with special focus on Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

Sinosun’s presentation emphasized on enhancement of the financial infrastructure to support transparent and efficient flow of investment funds into the country. Dr. Samuel Lim, Chairman of Sinosun elaborated on the enormous opportunities in the financial, tourism and retirement industries and also projected on the development in Redondo Peninsula to transform Subic Bay Freeport Zone into modern and smart Port City.

Also present at the Christmas Celebration are the children sponsored by Sinosun’s Young Hearts With Hope Foundation (YHWH) over the past two years. The guests were delighted by the Christmas songs and aboriginal dances performed by the children.

An auction of 20 pure gold commemorative coins were carried out, which proceeds will be used by YHWH to fund charitable projects to help underprivileged children in Olongapo and the Aeta children in this region. Bidders supported the auction with high spirits and contributed to a beautiful closing of the event.
